Birthday Surprise

This is my version of the Blueprint to Go for the April kit, I love to work from a sketch and will sometimes stick to the sketch totally and other times turn it or adapt. I love the pink colours in the kit its really fresh and up my street. I added a brown croquet flower that i found in my stash to this page and I feel it works really well. also some sage bazzil card stock I had in my scrap box... I never throw things out!!!!

I used the stamped on tag to from my title and used one of the hybrids for my journaling the photograph was taken in out car before we set out for my birthday surprise :-)

Sweet Treats

Hi Everyone sorry its been so long since my last post April is always a busy month for me but Ive received my April Scrapagogo kit Going for a Song and it is LUSH!!!! that's all I can say. I stated off with this photograph of me and Kristy my brothers girl friend. we went out for lunch one Saturday back in February and ended up in the sweet shop!!!
I thought that the American crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan paper was perfect for this layout and I used the banding strip to create a shelf for my jars to sit on which I embellished with punched out flowers and a ribbon bow.
Also I created this super cute bunting using the hybrids in the kit and edged them with brown ink I rolled each of the flags around a pencil giving them a lovely flick.

Enjoy Katie xx xx

The honour of accepting the award is traditionally done in the following way:
1. show thanks to the blogger who awarded you by linking back to their blog
2. choose 5 blogs with less than 200 followers and let them know about your nomination by leaving a comment on their blog
3. post the award on your blog!

Birthday Surprises

Hi Everyone
So tomorrow its my birthday and I'm going to be 24!!!! that's right nearly a quarter of a century old. when I woke up this morning my amazing Fiancée Chris decided to book a late minute hotel for tonight as part of my birthday surprise along with a day out which I have no idea what I'm going to up to tomorrow I was told to wear warm clothes, coat and trainers and that's all I know.

But as for today the hotel that we checked into is amazing and not that different from the hotel that I stayed at for the scrapagogo retreat a couple of weeks ago very luxurious and were having a fab time take a look at some pictures Ive taken on my Iphone.

We are staying at De Vere hotel Wokefeild Park it is very nice indeed :-)

Magic!

This is the last Layout Ive done using the the Scrapagogo 'Happy Hive' as I have now run out of 12x12 lol this layout I used the leftover MME Be Amazing Honey Blue patterned paper, a strip of Glitz happy travels world and the leftover white cardstock to created a 12x12 piece of paper. i love this photograph of me and my man on our trip to Disneyland Paris for new year 2010.

I used the map punched out butterflies and the leftover hybrids to make some bunting on the corner of the photograph, added some journaling and vol la!!!

Baby Shower

Ok so for this layout i used an additional piece of Kraft cardstock for the base and used the left over Glitz happy travels patterned papers. this photograph was taken of all my best friend Kim's guests at her surprise baby shower that I organised at my house she was well and truly surprised by us all being there. I even roped our mums into it too :-) we played lots of fun games and had lovely food I even made homemade scones :-)
I added the Bee Happy bespoke card and bumble bee charm as well as some of the hybrids and some more spare MME branding strip!!!! I loved adding this in to my layouts

6 of us!

I love this picture of me and the work girls on our trip to Brighton last year i chose the earthy colours of this kit to complement the colours of our outfits. I used the Bazzill dotted Swiss butter as a base for this layout and the Glitz happy Travels world and Planes patterned papers on the compass and floral sides to lend with the earthy tones.

I created a line of bunting using the branding strips from the MME papers and stapled them to the brown twine and embellished with some blue, brown and cream adhesive pearls and gewls from my stash. I also used some of the honeycomb shapes I had left form when I cut out the honeycomb sections for my Explore layout, which I Inked the edge of with brown and attached the brown glitter butterfly.
