My SMASH book

Ok so I brought a SMASH book which I here is all the craze in the scrapbook world however Ive only just found out about them. Anyways my order arrived on Saturday morning and yes I was sat in my living room literally waiting for the postman I was so excited when it arrived :-) I made a point to only use odd bits and bobs of pieces of paper from my scrap box instead of using new 12x12 pieces of paper and I also set to use up all my alphabet stickers and sentiments I had laying around in my stash. Ive been getting on really well with my book Ive done it on my year 2012 well the year so far lol check out the video of my work xxx

Masquerade Ball

So this is my sixth layout using the April scrapagogo kit and I feel very sad that its all gone bar the couple of  little bits left which I may make some tags with. it has been a lovely kit to work with thank you go go girls xxxx

Ok so for this last kit Ive used some white paint and the studio calico packaging form the wood veneer stars as a template, I love the effect this has created. I used a picture taken of me, Lauren and Claire at soph and Sarah's masquerade ball in December, printed in back and white which gives it definition. I also added the birdcage charm to sage green card stock and put the peach letters onto the green card stock to make the title stand out.

Enjoy love Katie xxxx

Birthday Wish

This my fith layout using scrapagogo April kit I added I piece of pale pink card stock as a background I love the pink tones in the jars and hybrids I think it all ties so nicely together like a piece of pretty ribbon :-)  I inked around the edge of the papers and jars with brown ink.

Also I added some wood veneer die cut stars from studio calico in different sizes which I LOVE!!!! I filled the jars with punched out hearts from diffrent pices of paper that were left over.

Funny Faces

This is my forth layout using the April going for a song kit and I added a teal piece of bazzil for the background and it really ties in with my scarf and chris' jumper, also I used some American crafts adhesive badges I brought in a sale from sugar and spice and used this lush ribbon I got from two birds in a barn at poplar nurseries in Marks-Tey, it was £1.25 a meter and its stretchy and was measured outstretched so you get lots more for your money!!! I also got some in red and white gingham patter too which I have planned for some pictures of me and the work girls partying on a London bus :-)
Here is a close up of those cute badges and the perfume bottle charm ties with the cord from the April tag and I used the hybrid saying you are the one who holds the key to my heart, which is such a lovey sentiment <3

I layered up a few of the hybrids in this corner inked in brown and used one of the MME follow your heart 'Be Happy' stickers.

This next Page is more focused on this funky map of the hotel grounds we stayed at as part of my surprise for the night before my birthday, I used three photographs of us exploring the hotel at the top of the page. it was very luxurious thank you so much for making my birthday special xxxxx

These tags were from the MME Miss Caroline range yummy!!!!

Thorpe Park

My lovely fiencee Chris planned to take me to Thorpe Park for my birthday we had a fantastic time, this is me possing at the entrance :-) for this layout I used the American Crafts Sea Brezze paper I loved that it was really brought and colourful, I also added a croquet flower in pink that I found in my stash and a sasfras metal flower in teal.
I really LOVE these jars I added the hybrid saying Store your dreams, hopes and wishes here... CUTE

Birthday Surprise

This is my version of the Blueprint to Go for the April kit, I love to work from a sketch and will sometimes stick to the sketch totally and other times turn it or adapt. I love the pink colours in the kit its really fresh and up my street. I added a brown croquet flower that i found in my stash to this page and I feel it works really well. also some sage bazzil card stock I had in my scrap box... I never throw things out!!!!

I used the stamped on tag to from my title and used one of the hybrids for my journaling the photograph was taken in out car before we set out for my birthday surprise :-)

Sweet Treats

Hi Everyone sorry its been so long since my last post April is always a busy month for me but Ive received my April Scrapagogo kit Going for a Song and it is LUSH!!!! that's all I can say. I stated off with this photograph of me and Kristy my brothers girl friend. we went out for lunch one Saturday back in February and ended up in the sweet shop!!!
I thought that the American crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan paper was perfect for this layout and I used the banding strip to create a shelf for my jars to sit on which I embellished with punched out flowers and a ribbon bow.
Also I created this super cute bunting using the hybrids in the kit and edged them with brown ink I rolled each of the flags around a pencil giving them a lovely flick.

Enjoy Katie xx xx
